RECORDED TRAINING COURSE
This webinar starts with a discussion of the Form W-4. This form seems simple, but that’s a deceptive simpleness — it can get quite complex. We discuss the form from both the employee and employer side. Then we move on to other payroll topics, including: the latest version of the Form 941, W-2 updates, the employee retention credit, 1099 changes, and any other topics that are “breaking” as of the date of the webinar.
SESSION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Overview of the W-4
- Sneaky difficulties of the W-4
- What employers do with the W-4
- The employee retention credit — the program is closed but you can still make claims
- The latest version of the Form 941
- W-2 and 1099 updates for 2025
- Other breaking payroll news around the time of the webinar
Why You Should Attend:
Form W-4 is the form employees complete to tell you as the employer how much tax to withhold from the paycheck. The IRS made substantial changes to withholding calculations in 2020 and employees are still learning about these changes. Many employees will therefore desire to update their forms and will be asking questions of you as they work to adjust their withholdings. This session will cover Form W-4 from both the employee and the employer side, and will provide updates on other payroll matters as well.
